Cancellation Policy
Life Happens and unfortunately it can happen just before your session with us. We try and be as accommodating as possible for cancellations but we do have pay the rent on the studio and if there’s a make-up artist involved, we have to cover their time and expenses so….
Winter (Weather Related) Policy
If there’s nasty weather the day before/the morning of your session and you don’t want to travel to the studio, no problem. Call us to cancel – there are no late cancellation fees. Similarly, if bad weather is expected during your shoot and you don’t want to risk it, call us to cancel (again no late cancellation fees).
I actually advise my clients to cancel for a few reasons. 1) For short sessions, such as our LinkedIn 30 minute package, arriving 15 minutes late because of bad traffic associated with the weather, means that half your session is gone. 2) If you do make it through the traffic you’re likely to arrive a bit frazzled; you’ve rushed through the traffic to try and get to the studio and you’re losing studio time. Trust me, your session will not be as successful as if you had arrived in a calm and collected mood. It simply isn’t worth it. 3) If you are nervous about travelling in bad weather, the apprehension will show in the photos, you’ll find it difficult to be totally at-ease during your session. For a really good headshot, we need you to be at your best.
Please note this policy works for everyone, so if you’ve hired a make-up artist and she can’t make it because of the weather, we may have to cancel. If your photographer cannot make it, again, we may have to cancel.
NON-Weather Related Cancellations.
Cancellations with 48 hours notice :
For sessions without a make-up artist : No Cancellation Fee.
For sessions with a make-up artist (and the make-up artist has been confirmed) : $50
Cancellations without 48 hours notice or no-shows:
For sessions without a make-up artist : $25 (this is to cover our studio rental and studio set-up prior to your shoot).
For sessions with a make-up artist (and the make-up artist has been confirmed) : $75 ($50 goes to the make-up artist)
If you’d like to cancel your session, please see your booking email for a link to your customer portal – there’s an option within the portal to reschedule or cancel your session.
